After the release of Pinball FX 3, the Zen Pinball name has been discontinued, and now all platforms with the latest game use Pinball FX. Previously, it used to be two fundamentally similar but separate series by the developer Pinball FX was previously the series title for games on Microsoft systems, while Zen Pinball was used for versions on other platforms. The games support features such as local and online multiplayer play, slow motion, mid-game saves, and online leaderboards and tournament competitions. Most of the games note except for Zen Pinball: Rollercoaster and Zen Pinball: Inferno are frameworks where players can purchase and download new pinball tables over time. Pinball FX is a series of games for playing Digital Pinball Tables by Zen Studios.

And while I could see how the humor might not be everyone's cup of tea, Deadpool constantly mouthing off at the player and his enemies and Zen themselves gave it a lot of personality."Earth Defense", one of the original Zen Pinball tables. But Deadpool is on a whole other level - the mission progression and general flow of the table have kept me coming back to that more than any other Marvel table. Both Civil War and Venom are decent (even if Venom's "top of field mini-table" is just something that doesn't really match my playstyle).

If I had to provide a single recommendation from this lot, though, it'd have to be the Heavy Hitters pack.

Tl dr: try them all out and see what clicks for you, my dude. It's so much more consumer-friendly than the score limit imposed by other pinball sims.
